The Rickshaw Run epic Adventure
@ The Adventurists!
What is a Rickshaw (alias Tuk-Tuk)?
It’s a three wheel vehicle, less than 150cc engine reaching the incredible power of 7 HP at 5000 rpm…
In Italy is also known as Ape Cross and in rest of Asia as Tuk-Tuk!
This small, unstable and doubtfully “safe” vehicle is the used everyday by million of people as urban short distance transportation within cities.
Where do we want to go with such a small rickshaw?
After few days of preparation and test drive on the 2nd of January we started from Cochin, Kerala in the South of India.
The destination is Jasailmer, Rajistan in the North of India.
Between the two are 2500 to 3000 Kms of mixed pave and unpaved road, unstable bridges and natural sanctuaries.
No fixed route neither support. We will be driver, mechanical and trouble shooter.
On the bumpy road, on top of huge trucks, crazy buses and deep holes that we will have to avoid as well as cows, goats and any kind of animal!
But why??
The spirit of adventure for sure is a reason but fund raising is what it is all about!
It’s not important how much, but it’s important you also support to save trees through the actions Coolearth is doing with the locals!

Live! Where we are we now?
The Team:
Architect teaching at the University expressing my deepest passion when working in developing countries in Africa designing schools for poor children.
I unexpectedly joined this crazy adventure on a push of instinct and because I can’t live two months in the same place.
My teammate says about me: “altruist and caring, adventurous, peaceful”
Mike
Since July 2015 I finally have the chance to travel extensively. After checking out all the 50 US states I am now on my second world round trip that will take me wherever it may.
I didn’t know my team before the Rickshaw run! But when I saw Roberto’s post on Couchsurfing looking for a buddy for the race, I immediately knew that was my next adventure!
My teammates says about me: “friendly and cheerful, curious, dreamer“
Roberto (alias Pile)
After years of studying engineering and building a career in project management I finally achieved my goal: resign and go travelling!
I am dedicating a period of my life to myself and my life bucket list. I am travelling without any fixed plan and following the energy, feelings and what Destiny brings to me.
My teammate says about me: “explosive, trustworthy, crazy”
The ultimate target?
Survive and reach Jaisailmer!
